Shopping for baby clothes is one of my favorite things! Everything is so little and cute! Below I listed out my favorite places to shop for affordable and trendy baby clothes. I don’t love spending so much on baby clothes when they’ll grow out of it so quickly and there’s lots of everyday wear and tear (running around, stains from food, etc.). If there’s a special occasion or a photoshoot, then I’ll occasionally splurge, but the stores below also carry lots of great dress-up options!
Burt’s Bees Baby
My go-to for pajamas! I love their footed zip-up and 2-piece pajamas. They’re 100% organic cotton, made in India, and very reasonably priced ($14-$17). They release new prints each season, so you can enjoy new prints as your baby grows out of previous sizes. I also love their bedding, wash cloths, and changing pad covers!
- Loose Fit PJs (0-9 months) – Perfect from newborn until 9 months (sizing stops at 9 months), these looser fitting PJs are a great option for younger babies that haven’t started crawling or walking.
- Snug Fit PJs (12-24 months) – Perfectly made for older babies that are on the move – sizing is from 12-24 months. The elastic around the ankles and grippies on the feet make it easier for babies to move around. They are definitely snug, as the name suggests, so if your little one has those adorable rolls, it will be harder to get their arms and legs in these. Mina is very long and skinny, so these are perfect for her. I’ll admit, if I moisturize her arms, it gets a bit difficult to slide her arms in, especially when she wants to go play with her toys!
- 2-Piece Baby (12-24 months) & 2-Piece Toddler PJs (2T-7) – These 2-piece PJs are great for transitional months, when the weather starts changing, since feet are exposed. I love them for moving babies, too, since exploring with bare feet is optimal for learning to crawl and walk. Diaper changes are easier as well since you can slide the pants right off, as opposed to onesies where sometimes it can be a struggle to get the legs out.
H&M Baby & Kids
H&M Baby has the cutest selection of baby clothes at their usual affordable prices. They often have sales and discount codes on top of their low prices (sign up for their emails & join their rewards program). They also have many organic cotton pieces and items that use sustainable materials, which I appreciate! I love their Mommy & Me outfits that match – these are great for photoshoots.
Amazon
- Hope and Henry – This line has a classic and preppy look that includes outfits for the whole family. The coordinating outfits are great for family photoshoots and special occasions. The fabrics are great quality and I love the clean-cut look.
- Moon and Back by Hanna Andersson – I love this line! It’s a more affordable subline from Hanna Andersson and the quality is still great! Mina wore them all the time for the first 3 months. I especially love the kimono style tops and bodysuits, which have fold-over mittens and are organic cotton. The kimono style open front buttons makes it much easier to put on and off vs. pullover shirts and bodysuits. The cotton is good quality, thick, and has enough stretch making changes easy. They also wash really well. I also really like their leggings and onesies that come footed or footless. I highly recommend these, especially during the newborn phase!
- Kids Tales Footed Foldover Onesies – These onesies are good quality and really easy to put on and off. The 2-way zipper is also very convenient and the foldover mittens and footies make them very versatile. I purchased the pineapple and camo prints and would buy again. We also purchased the regular footed onesie, but for some reason the fabric and quality was not as good. The fabric was much thinner and the zipper tab broke off, which could’ve been a choking hazard. I’m not sure if it was just the specific print we purchased (the red flower print), but I didn’t purchase any more of these.
- Bows and Nylon Headbands – These hair accessories from Amazon are perfect for pulling any outfit together. With so many colors, there is always an accessory for every outfit. For Mina, the nylon headbands were great for the first ~9 months when Mina’s hair was still growing in, covering some of the unevenness. They also kept her head warm during the cooler months. After that, she had a bit more hair, so that’s when she transitioned to bows. These bows are lightweight, aren’t made of metal, and are soft. They don’t pull out any hair when Mina yanks them out and they stay put and clip on to even the smallest amount of hair.
Angel Dear
Angel Dear has such nice pieces, but they’re usually priced around $20-$50 depending on the item. However, biannually they have a big online warehouse sale (usually in May & November) where many items are 50-70% off! This is when I stock up and get lots of gifts, too! The quality is always great and the pieces are absolutely adorable! You can purchase on their website and at retailers like Amazon, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Maisonette, and Spearmint Love.
Gap Baby & Kids
Gap frequently has sales and their baby clothes are super cute and great quality! We have lots of rompers and dresses that are great for everyday. They even have matching outfits for the whole family!
Zara Baby & Kids
Zara Baby clothes are always on trend. I find the cutest sweaters and leggings for Mina! They frequently have sales, so it’s a great place for cute items at a reasonable price.
Carter’s
A classic kids store that’s affordable with frequent sales. Not necessarily as “trendy” as the others, but their items are practical, functional, and cute!
Nordstrom Rack
Offering many name brand pieces at a fraction of the cost, Nordstrom Rack is a great place for super cute baby clothes from designers like 7 For All Mankind, Nicole Miller, Aden & Anais, and Jessica Simpson, to name a few.
Hopefully that was a helpful quick guide to affordable trendy baby clothes! Comment below if there are places you love to shop that I should check out!
